Requirements Metrics: Scaling Up
نویسنده
چکیده
Establishing the relative value of results within a field of study contributes to advancement of that field. In order to compare across large numbers of results together, the methods and metrics used must be scaled up from existing studies where the number of subjects or cases is small. This scaling provides specific challenges, for example, metrics used in small studies are often shaped by factors of the local environment. Standardization is required in order to enable aggregation of data across multiple distributed environments. Further, standardization of metrics is both non-trivial and insufficient. Complex linguistic factors must be accounted for in order to maximize consistency of metric interpretation and use, and a number of other issues must be addressed to ensure that the metrics are interesting as well as practical. This position paper elaborates these issues, sets forth criteria for benchmark-friendly metrics, and proposes a community activity designed to establish a foundational set of requirements benchmark metrics.

Minimal Metrics on Nilmanifolds
A left invariant metric on a nilpotent Lie group is called minimal, if it minimizes the norm of the Ricci tensor among all left invariant metrics with the same scalar curvature. Such metrics are unique up to isometry and scaling and the groups admitting a minimal metric are precisely the nilradicals of (standard) Einstein solvmanifolds. If N is endowed with an invariant symplectic, complex or h...

Addressing socio-economic development issues are strategic and most important for any country. Multidimensional statistical analysis methods, including comprehensive index assessment, have been successfully used to address this challenge, but they donchr('39')t cover all aspects of development, leaving some gap in the development of multidimensional metrics. The purpose of the study is to const...
متن کاملCircuit and CAD Solutions for optimal SRAM Design in Nanoscale CMOS
Conventional 6T SRAM design involves balancing trade-offs among several critical metrics yield, power, performance and area. Reducing noise margins and worsening variation makes scaling the 6T bitcell to newer technologies and lower supply voltage difficult, especially due to the need to balance the trade-offs between various metrics. In particular, lowering the SRAM voltage for low-power opera...

Impressive progress has been made in global surgery in the past 10 years, and now serious and evidence-based national strategies are being developed for scaling-up surgical services in sub-Saharan Africa. Key to achieving this goal requires developing a realistic country-based estimate of burden of surgical disease, developing an accurate estimate of existing need, deve...
